Individual/Family - $12 a night for a
single site up to 4 people.
Organized Youth & Adult Group Camping - $1 per youth, $2 per adult per night.
Fort
Lane Park is owned and operated by the Geneva Historical Society, a non-profit,
all-volunteer organization with no government funding.
We ask that you make a donation toward upkeep and
insurance whenever you reserve the pavilion or the entire park for
private or group use.

Park
Rules
It is your responsibility to know the rules of the park.
·
Park is open from
sunrise to sunset for normal public use. Quiet hours are from 9 P.M. to 8 A.M.
·
Use of fireworks or
other explosives is prohibited. Firearms are prohibited.
·
All pets must be kept
on a 6 foot leash at ALL
times. Clean up after your pet.
·
Take out what you
bring in. Clean up after yourself. Take home all items you placed in the
refrigerator. Carry a trash bag & pick up litter. Take trash with you or
place in the cans provided & leave cans inside the pavilion.
·
Conserve water. There
are water spigots on the outside ends of the pavilion. The hoses are not to be
used for playing, washing vehicles, etc.
·
Keep the restrooms
clean. Do not wash food, clothing, dishes, personal items or clean fish in
restrooms.
·
No alcohol, boat
launching, or swimming permitted.
·
Children under 18
years of age shall be the responsibility of the registrant & shall be
supervised at all times by an adult.
·
Climbing on or
sitting in trees is prohibited. Do
not carve, chop, cut, or damage any live trees. Leave natural areas the way you
find them.
·
Do not damage or
remove any historic or archaeological resources.
· No wood or artificial log fires are permitted except in park fire ring located in middle of park. Observe Seminole County burn restrictions. Remove any grass, twigs, leaves & extra firewood surrounding fire ring. Also make sure there are not any tree limbs or flammable objects hanging overhead. Do not start campfires with gasoline or camping fuel. Do not put cans, bottles, plastic, food or rocks in fire ring. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING FIRES UNDER CONTROL. Be sure your fire is completely extinguished before leaving.

Only street-legal
motorized vehicles are permitted in the park. No
ATV’s permitted.
·
Visitors of
registered campers will observe regular park user hours & park rules.
·
Must be 18 years of
age or older to rent a campsite.
·
Camper’s stay is
limited to four (4) consecutive days.
·
Campers must have
camping equipment consisting of a tent, covered pickup, camper or motor home. Electric
& water are not to be used to operate campers or motor homes. Do
not release black or gray water. Sleeping in automobiles, in the open or in park
pavilion is prohibited. Camping on
lake side of pavilion is not recommended.
·
Respect our neighbors. No
trespassing onto adjacent properties.

individually and on behalf of it/myself and any and all organizations with which
I may be associated with and its members and participants and my parents, my
spouse, and children (and as agents for my parents and children), and any and
all derivative claimants understand that the Geneva Historical &
Genealogical Society, Inc. (“Society”) and its officers, agents and
employees, assume absolutely no liability whatsoever for any personal injury,
death, or property damage or loss that I, any organization with which I am
associated and its members, my parents, children or relatives, or any derivative
claimant may suffer as a result of being issued the permit set forth herein or
as a result of any and all other activities of whatsoever kind, type or nature
conducted, accomplished or done on or at the Society Property, specifically Fort
Lane Park, and those related areas owned or controlled by the Society.
I am aware that such activities may be hazardous. I (and as agent for any
organization of which I may be associated and its members, and for my parents
and children) assume any and all risk. In consideration of and as an inducement
for me and any organization that I may be associated with and its members being
allowed to use the Society Property, specifically Fort Lane Park, I, as an
individual and for my parents, spouse, children, (and as agents for my parents,
spouse, and children) and relatives, and the organization with which I may be
involved and its members, and all derivative claimants including, but not
limited to, any and all heirs, assigns, executors, beneficiaries,
administrators, and any and all other claimants or legal representatives do
hereby forever fully release, remiss, indemnify, acquit, discharge, and hold
harmless and blameless, the Society and its officers, employees and agents for
any and all personal injury, death, or property damage that I, any organization
with which I am involved and its members, my children, my spouse, my parents,
relatives, or any derivative claimants or my successors or the successors of
myself or those above listed may suffer as a result of, directly or indirectly,
the activities on, upon or near the Society Property, specifically Fort Lane
Park, or otherwise as a result of permitted activities. I agree to fully and
completely indemnify the Society from and against any and all liability, loss or
damage that the Society may sustain as a result of claims, demands, costs or
judgments (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees and legal fees
(whether pre-litigation, trial related or upon appeal)) arising from injury or
loss of whatsoever nature to myself or any of the above listed persons and
organizations or my or their property. I, and on behalf of all the above, assume
any and all risks, known or unknown, in any way related to all activities, of
whatsoever nature, that I may engage in or participate in, on, upon or near the
Society Property, specifically Fort Lane Park, or pursuant to the Society
permit.

Note
that any public location where people are present provides an inherent risk of
exposure to COVID – 19. The Geneva
Historical and Genealogical Society, Inc., CANNOT GUARANTEE that you or your
guest will not be exposed during your visit to Fort Lane Park. An
inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people
are present. COVID -19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to
severe illness and death. By visiting Fort Lane Park, you voluntarily
assume for yourself and guests all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. You
are responsible for sanitizing all areas before and after use of the park and
facilities. All trash generated for
your event including disinfecting equipment and supplies must be removed from
the property.
All
events must stay within the Federal, State, and Local laws and guidelines that
are in effect at the time of the event, including social distancing and the
number allowed in a group.
